Waterloo Cottage
High-end extension for a character cottage
Location: Great Dunmow
Timescale: Four months.
Brief: Phase One: To erect an annexe to provide extra living space.
Delivery:
Phase One: More than just a simple extension, the annexe required a feature brick plinth with feather-edge boarding to create a barn conversion look, while being sympathetic and in keeping with associated buildings.
Finished to a high specification throughout, the property now features an underfloor heating system and external oil boiler providing an alternative to mains gas. JDL managed the installation of the new utility services, including a Klargester bio-tank sewage system.
Building control and structural warranty were provided and managed in-house by JDL.
